Paul Hooper
Managing Director
Graduating from Medway College of Design in 1983. Paul spent a number of years creating special effects for television commercials before starting First Sight Media in 1993 specialising in live events coverage. Paul oversees all production and acts as project director on many jobs. He is an experienced camera operator, editor and live event vision mixer.
Richard Belcher BA MA
Technical Director
Richard Belcher is particularly interested in the development of interactivity and web based video. His expertise in webcasting, video production and interactive media along with his interpersonal skills make him ideal for this position; working closely with clients looking to produce their first webcasts or directing large events and conferences for live broadcast via the web.
Femke van Iperen
Camera Operator
Femke started as a freelance camera operator in TV and corporate video production. She filmed around Asia and Europe for clients including Ernst & Young and worked as an ENG, Studio and Lighting Cameraperson for Sky TV, Reuters, CNBC, Carlton 021, the Travel Channel. Additionally, she also trains students at the London School of Journalism to become TV reporters.
Gary Dorking
Camera Operator
Gary is one of our most experienced location crew; working on a variety of projects and overseeing a team of 14 at one of our regular event contracts. His communication skills coupled with a good sense of humour ensure each project is managed effectively. Gary's skills on site are backed up by qualifications and experience in photographic and video production as well as being skilled in the field of still image manipulation restoration and creation.
Graeme Wall
Lighting Cameraman
Graeme worked extensively for BBC London and as Senior Cameraman at TVS before joining First Sight Media. His breadth of experience covers multi-camera studio and outside broadcast events. Comfortable working in any format, Graeme has filmed projects from Marks & Spencers spring collections and the Commonwealth Games to BBC News and current affairs. Remaining calm under pressure coupled with initiative, ensures great results during live events.
Tim Finch
Webcasting & Internet
Video Production
Tim has a BSc in Computer Science and a background in IT consultancy. He loves getting involved in all the technical issues of his speciality. His experience across web based application ensures through planning and problem solving ensures events run smoothly and without incident. Vision mixing, directing and post production all feature in his portfolio. Tim’s credits include news, current affairs and commercials.
Chris Wilkes
Vision Mixer
Chris has worked in television as a vision mixer and cameraman on location and in the studio. His experience covers VT editing and as a Gallery Manager. Recent projects include Rock & Pop events, University Graduation Ceremonies, Student Balls and theatre productions. He is also involved in non-profit work for local television.
